Title Lead Release Engineer - Embedded Software
Job Posting Starkey Labs is seeking an experienced Software Configuration Manager for full time work at our corporate headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN (10mi SW of Minneapolis).

Duties include (but are not limited to):
1) Conducting all the firmware and software releases within the firmware development teams. This includes, building the firmware, labeling, documenting, and creating uniform release notes across all the releases.
2) Streamlining, documenting, and automating the firmware release process by creating and maintaining automatic scripts, preferably in Python language.
3) Be the administrator for JIRA in the organization and gain solid understanding of the features of this tool.
4) Be the administrator for Perforce for the firmware team. In this role, the SCM should
a. Be able to set new policies for branching, labeling, etc.
b. Enforces these polices. (either through clear communication with developers or automating certain operation)
c. Help developers with their issues with Perforce.
d. Train new engineers.
5) Evaluate new releases of JIRA and Perforce and work with IT to update these tools when deemed valuable.
6) Customize JIRA for different teams either using the browser interface or by using technologies such as JAVA to customize JIRA.
7) Leading the effort to introduce new software tools and working with IT to set up trials in the organization.
8) During the slower times, when not many releases are happening, the SCM may be asked to work with the Firmware test team to create automatic scripts or perform functional verification of the Hearing Aid.
Requirements 1) BS degree in computer science or equivalent.
2) At least 5 years of experience functioning in a Software Configuration Manager position.
3) Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
4) Experience in using different scripting languages.
5) Experience with JIRA and Perforce is highly preferred.
6) Basic understanding of firmware gained by working with Firmware Development teams is highly desirable.
7) Experience with TFS, SharePoint is desirable.
